ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ROME ZOO


Bioparco di Roma, also known as the Rome Zoo, is a historic zoological park. Rome Zoo was designed by the architect Raffaele De Vico who aimed to create a naturalistic environment for the animals, integrating the zoo into the beautiful landscape of Villa Borghese. Here’s some practical information about the zoo:


📍Location: Viale del Giardino Zoologico, 1, 00197 Roma RM, Italy


🕛Opening Hours:

* From January 1 to March 30, 2024: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM

* From March 31 to October 26, 2024: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

* From October 27 to December 31, 2024: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM.

* Extended hours from March 31 to October 6, 2024: 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM only on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.


🎟️Tickets

  - Adults: €18

  - Children (up to 10 years): €14


🚃Getting There

  - Metro: The nearest metro stations are Flaminio (Line A) and Spagna (Line A), followed by a walk through Villa Borghese.

  - Bus: Several bus lines service the area, including lines 81, 87, and 95.


✨Tips for Visiting

- Best Time to Visit: Early mornings or late afternoons can be less crowded and more enjoyable. Also great to visit during the week and avoid weekends

- Plan Your Route: The zoo is relatively large, so it can be helpful to plan which exhibits you want to see in advance.
