Flavors that I love from childhood! And it was incredible to try them all again🥰 sharing my favorite top 10. SAVE AND TRY 🇺🇿


  1. Plov - across Uzbekistan, there are 200 varieties of plov and nation-wide events and competitions are held every year in attempts to see who makes the best plov. The main ingredients of this dish include beef or lamb cooked in a large cauldron with carrots and onions. 

  2. Shashlik - barbecued cubes of beef, lamb on a metal stick

  3. Manti - large steamed dumpling with meat, pumpkin or potatoes

  4. Hanum - steamed dough stuffed with potato and meat strips topped with tomato sauce

  5. Samsa - crunchy pastry dough with different types of filling (lamb, beef, chicken, pumpkin, potatoes) baked in Tandyr (clay oven)

  6. Lepeshka - uzbek bread, called generally non or lepeshka, is round and is baked in tandyr (clay oven), after which it comes out toasted and crispy

  7. Cheburek - deep-fried turnovers with a filling of ground or minced meat and onions

  8. Pakhlava - oriental sweets with nuts

  9. Lagman - tasty noodle soup

  10. Dolma - grape leaves stuffed with rice and meat
